Tamsin's cottage is in a perfect location for walking along the Cleveland Way. We walked to Skinningrove one day and Staithes the next — got the miles in and fantastic views, with great food at both locations too! After returning from our walking activities we found Tamsin's cottage warm and inviting. Her communication is very good indeed. Highly recommended for a great get away.

Tamsin was a very helpful host and made us feel welcome. The cottage was cosy and nicely furnished and had everything you might need. A short drive from Saltburn, North York Moors and other beachside towns makes it a good location too. Would recommend for anyone looking for a cosy and comfortable getaway in North Yorkshire.

Lovely place to stay, plenty of information about the local and distant surroundings. Would recommend anybody to stay there. Our pooch Rosie loved it.

Had a lovely Christmas stay at Poppy Cottage. The welcome pack on arrival was a nice touch. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to make Christmas dinner. The lounge was really comfortable especially when we had the log fire lit! Nice walk to the beach with the dog. Good base to visit surrounding areas and easy access to public transport. Tamsin was a great host, responded to any queries virtually straight away. Will definitely be staying again 😊

Our stay at Poppy Cottage was fantastic! From the outset Tamsin provided helpful information, supplemented by the useful guide file in the cottage and clear communication regarding arrival and departure. The cottage was clean, comfortable and even had some welcome goods — a lovely touch. An ideal location to explore the Yorkshire coast, with close proximity to some great bays, beaches and walks along the Cleveland Way. Very cosy comfortable cottage with everything you need for your stay.

A perfect find in a local village that had plenty of places to both eat and drink. Great central location to travel both North to Saltburn and South to Staithes, Sandsend and Whitby. Poppy Cottage was well equipped and provided us with a wonderful home from home experience. Thanks to Tamsin for her support and recommendations. We would love to return.

We had a wonderful stay at Poppy Cottage, which is perfectly situated to explore the North Yorkshire Moors and coast. The cottage has been beautifully renovated by Tamsin and had everything we needed. Bed is super comfortable and the shower is awesome. Tamsin is a great host — proactive, friendly and responding quickly to any messages. We will definitely be booking another stay 😀

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Fantastic location to explore the gorgeous surrounding areas — we visited the local beach 5 minutes away, Whitby, Saltburn by the Sea and Staithes (super cute place!). The cottage had absolutely everything. The welcome package was very thoughtful — thanks so much, even milk in the fridge ❣️ The shower was fantastic and bed honestly the comfiest bed — I'm ordering the mattress immediately!

We are now Airbnb converts after staying at Poppy Cottage. We loved the cosy living room with his and hers sofas. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and the bed was really comfy. The shower was very large and walk-in — perfect for me. Kitchen was so well stocked and lovely welcome pack. Limited mobility meant we were in the car visiting Saltburn very nearby. Some great eating places and free parking on Marine Parade! Tamsin you have set the bar very high for Airbnb cottages, and I hope we can return again next year.

The cottage was very cosy with all the expected amenities. The back garden was lovely to sit in and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Tamsin was very helpful with recommendations for walks, food and things going on around the area. Check-in, check-out kept us informed throughout the stay.

What an amazing find Poppy Cottage is! It's obvious how much care and attention Tamsin has put into making sure her guests (including the four legged ones) feel welcome and at home. Lots of lovely walks straight from the door so we managed to avoid using the car for a few days. Good bus links to Saltburn and Whitby. Thank you once again for a wonderful stay Tamsin — we really hope to be back!

A delightful dog-friendly cottage that certainly lived up to expectations! Communication between our host Tamsin and ourselves was extremely good — helpful tips re local shopping, pubs, eateries etc was very forthcoming. A lovely enclosed private garden was nice to sit out in, completely safe for our two dogs. A very comfortable king size bed, combined with fresh air away from London definitely contributed to sleeping well. The well equipped kitchen is certainly not pokey. We got the impression a lot of thought had gone into trying to make the place an ideal pad!

This has been one of our favourite Airbnb stays. A beautifully renovated cottage, with great attention to detail and home comforts. Extremely comfortable bed, plenty of soft towels and a lovely modern spacious bathroom. Kitchen very well equipped and homely lounge area. Also enjoyed sitting out in the garden. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the local area guided by Tamsin's helpful guest book. Beautiful deserted coves and beaches, and a trip to Whitby Abbey were highlights. Tamsin is an extremely attentive host and very easy to contact.

A wonderful few days spent at Poppy Cottage! The care & attention to detail that Tamsin has put in to renovating the cottage is clear to see and has made it a beautiful and comfortable home from home. Location is ideal for visiting all our favourite seaside villages and beaches. Communication from Tamsin was fantastic and the additional little touches — the welcome treat basket and 12pm check-in/check-out — all add to a lovely experience.

Absolutely loved Tamsin's little house — proper home from home. One of the best stays we've had! Tamsin was an amazing host — really attentive and responsive. The house was beautifully decorated, very tidy, and well-stocked with everything we needed. The lovely welcome hamper (including treats for our dogs!) was such a thoughtful touch. The location was perfect for beach trips and dog walks. Tamsin had the perfect balance of being relaxed but attentive. We'd happily stay again!

I would definitely recommend Poppy Cottage to anyone wanting a break away. Tamsin has thought of everything when it comes to needs whilst you are away — it really is home from home! The location is great with amazing walks on your doorstep and Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Whitby just a short drive away or a nice walk along the Cleveland Way. Tasmin has a beautiful and quaint little cottage. It had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay, refurbished to a high spec. We were greeted kindly with a lovely welcome pack. The location was perfect to explore all of the coastal towns nearby. We would highly recommend this gorgeous place.

I don't think there is anything I can say that will do this wonderful little cottage and fabulous host justice. It is just simply perfect. Right from check-in which was simple and easy to the attention to detail. Wonderful welcome treats, gorgeous home and cute garden. The world's comfiest bed and nicest smelling bed linen. The stay was perfect. The location is ideal no matter what type of holiday you're looking for.

The cottage was an absolutely lovely place to stay. We enjoyed 5 days here and felt absolutely at home — no issues during our stay and the fire was our favourite part. Everything you could need in the kitchen and even an air fryer! Tamsin left a welcome basket of little snacks which definitely came in handy.
